Philosophy
The COLEGIO de KIDAPAWAN (CdK) is a non-sectarian school and as such, its philosophy of education is universal. It is dedicated to the education of the youth regardless of race, religion or social status. It is likewise universal in its aims and in the development of all faculties of man–physical, intellectual, moral, social and spiritual. Its philosophy is the development of the WHOLE Man.
As an educational institution, CdK aims to produce dynamic leaders who can think, decide and act constantly and consistently. The College, consistent with its nature and origin as an institution with techno-educational foundation, aims to yield a productive individual thereby contributing to the national development goals.
Education develops the whole being of a person taking into account his/her individuality, his/her environment, his/her social life and prepares him/her to realize and develop his/her inherent potentialities. This process is not only limited to the school, for in every area of human activity, there is always the act influenced by the family society, church, environment and heredity. The school is the formal agent in this process of development, and it has to coordinate with all the other agents of change while concentrating on its own primary task – the intellectual growth of the student.
No philosophy of education can guarantee a product that measures up to its expectation; but, CdK is firm and determined in its own philosophy to achieve the main objective which is to build men–men of wisdom and faith, men of courage and with a sense of patriotism, men of determination and self-control and, above all, men set by a moral society, not on personal whims, pressures from others or style of the moment. Through the enthusiastic cooperation and support of the parents, administration, staff, teachers and students and with God’s blessing, COLEGIO de KIDAPAWAN will no doubt achieve its vowed philosophy of education.
